I really enjoy the flavor and creamy texture of a good salmon. And on top of that, it's a highly nutritious protein source.
If you’re a fan of ginger, this glaze adds a punchy, sweet-and-savory finish that elevates the whole experience.
It takes just a few minutes, and you'll have a healthy and delicious meal ready.

Ingredients You Will Need
To make the Salmon with Soy Ginger Glaze you'll need the following.
Fresh salmon fillet (skinless)
10 g fresh ginger
2 tbsp of soy sauce
5 tbsp of honey
Dried chili flakes
Garlic powder
Salt
Black ground pepper
Olive oil
Jasmine rice (optional)
Steamed veggies (optional)
Cooking the Salmon in the Oven
Salmon can be cooked in many different ways. For this recipe, I like using the oven because I don't need to pay too much attention to it and I can work on the glaze while the salmon cooks. But use your preferred method.
Preheat the oven to 200°C / 400°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place salmon fillets on top.
Brush with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Bake for 10-15 minutes depending on thickness and how cooked you like your salmon.
Prepare the Soy Ginger Glaze
Now that the salmon is in the oven, we can prepare the soy ginger glaze.
Using a blender (I use my Thermomix). Blend the fresh ginger for 3 seconds on high speed.
Heat up a pan on low to medium heat (around 120°C / 250°F)
Add the ginger, honey, soy sauce, salt, garlic powder, and dried chili flakes onto the pan and sear for about 5 minutes until everything has mixed nicely.
Craving something more than just the Salmon with Soy Ginger Glaze?
The salmon goes great with steamed jasmine rice and steamed veggies. I recommend that you serve them together.
Would you like to cook this dish along with me?
